One of the original Border Common Ridings. The best viewing areas will be anywhere in the town centre, but the Golf Course is highly recommended.

6th August 2017 – Aviemore Triathlon

The Aviemore Triathlon consists of two courses, so everyone is encouraged to come along. The first course contains a 1500m Open Water Swim, 18km Mountain Bike and a 9km Trail Run. The second course contains a 750m Open Water Swim, 12km Mountain Bike and a 6km Trail Run.

11th August – Lantern making workshops

If you are interested in making a lantern then make sure you come to the workshop. There will be two workshops and two different parades. The two workshops are detailed below.

Venue: Newcastleton Village Hall, Newcastleton, TD9 0QD

Time: 11am – 1pm & 2 – 5pm (Workshops)

Cost: £2 Donation

The parade for this workshop will be on the 2nd September where the lanterns will be released. Everyone will meet at Hermitage Castle for 8pm.

Peebles annual agircultural show is back. Make sure you come to Peebles for a wonderful day out.

Sunday 20th August 2017 – Aberfeldy Triathlon

The triathlon consists of a 1900m Swim in the Loch Tay, a 90km Road Cycle and a 21km Run near Taymouth Castle. The triathlon is Sanctioned by Triathlon Scotland.
